Hi, I’m Wesley Jean-Pierre, a researcher at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. My project investigates vortex dynamics on compressible pitching airfoils, specifically the NACA 0012 model. Using MATLAB and supercomputer simulations, I analyze how pitching motion and compressibility affect vortex formation, flow separation, lift, and drag. This research aims to improve the understanding of aerodynamic performance and stability in applications like helicopters and wind turbines. Future work includes comparing static and dynamic airfoil cases to study vortex behavior during pitching.
