My name is Saranyamol Velanparampil Sasikumar, and I am currently working as a postdoctoral scholar at the Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion (FCAAP) at Florida State University in Tallahassee, USA. I earned my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. Prior to that, I completed my M.E. in Space Engineering and Rocketry from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and my B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering from Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Kerala. My research interests span a broad range of topics in high-speed aerodynamics, including experimental gas dynamics, hypersonic flows, shock waves, aerothermodynamics, and flow measurement techniques. I am particularly engaged in studies involving shock and wind tunnels, optical flow diagnostics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) using commercial solvers. I am passionate about advancing knowledge in these fields and contributing to both research and education in aerospace science and engineering.
