Biography
My name is Niyati Chokshi, and I am a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. I earned my Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to joining FSU, I gained industry experience as a Hydrodynamics Intern at Regent Craft and as an Advanced Physics Intern specializing in Cradle CFD at Hexagon.
In addition to my academic work, I previously served as President of the Women of Aerospace organization for three years. Outside of research, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, and serving as a CAPCOM for astronaut analog missions.
My current research focuses on shock-wave/boundary-layer interactions, with a particular emphasis on three-dimensional non-homogeneous effects.
