Biography

My name is Gargi, and I am a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. I earned my Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MITS Gwalior, India. Before joining FSU, I worked as an R&D Engineer II at Becton and Dickinson. My previous research experience includes modeling and simulation of shock-driven multiphase instabilities during my master’s studies and working on a CO₂-based Brayton cycle during an internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. I also contributed to the Industrial Assessment Center, a Department of Energy initiative, where I performed energy audits and delivered recommendations to improve industrial energy efficiency. Currently, my research focuses on high-fidelity computational analysis of supersonic inlets, including the investigation of shock-boundary layer interactions and their impact on engine performance and efficiency.
