My name is Cason Allen, and I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Florida A&M University. I currently conduct research at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering under Dr. Carl Moore, where I am working on the development of a haptic feedback glove. My project focuses on determining the optimal location for force sensors within the user mechanism to improve tactile precision. In Summer 2023, I interned at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, where I developed a data visualization interface using the Plotly Dash library in Python and contributed to the early-stage design of two haptic glove prototypes for virtual interaction. I also served as a Learning Assistant, helping facilitate hybrid engineering coursework. My academic interests lie in human-machine interaction, haptic systems, and their application in both aerospace and virtual environments.
