Biography

My name is Brianna Wylie, and I’m a doctoral student in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. As a research assistant at the Aero-propulsion, Mechatronic, and Energy (AME) Research Building, I specialize in trajectory planning for a multi-arm 3D printer developed in-house. My work includes creating optical monitoring systems for in-situ error correction, improving printer resolution through redesign and robotic computation, and integrating advanced transmission systems. I’ve had the opportunity to present my research at the Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference in STEM and continually strive to grow both as a student and a researcher. I’m deeply committed to expanding access to STEM education and careers for underrepresented groups, and I ultimately hope to work in the robotics industry where I can contribute to meaningful human-robot interaction. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about music and currently serve in worship at my church.
